Step 1: Let the lower pole sections drop downward naturally.

Step 2: Pull the uppermost pole section down over the inner pipe.

Step 3: Pull the section down using a little strength until you hear the silver button pop up with a "CLICK". (Important step !!!) Finding the silver button is similar to finding one on an umbrella. There may be some resistance, but keep pulling until you hear the "Click" of the button.

Step 4: Loosen the Outerlock tab and adjust the pole to your desired length. Do not exceed the [STOP] line.

Key steps for unfolding and folding the pole & outer-lock details When Unfolding the Trekking Pole: Pull down using a little strength. Hear the silver button pop up with a "click". It is now locked and ready to use. Tip: The silver button is located approximately 6.7 inches away from the "PULL" logo.
